POTENTIAL OF BLACK SOLDIER FLY (BSF) IN REDUCING MUNICIPAL FOOD LOSS AND WASTE (FLW) AT TAMAN SARI DISTRICT, WEST JAKARTA

Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae are known to have the ability process food loss and waste reduce weight of waste, by producing decomposition products that beneficial values. Food needs be reduced burden entering Final Disposal (TPA). Aim: The purpose this study was determine BSF quality results in processing Taman Sari District on a laboratory scale. Methodology Results: Distrisct is high dense populated area Total days bioconversion activity 12 days, giving back 1,000 grams municipal organic, containing according variation given repeatedly 1st, 5th, 8th for each sample code. amount 5 old (5-DOL) maggot used code 30 grams. Conclusion, significance, impact study: percentage reduction from 3 kg can reach 86% with average residue produced form 415.67 solid compost 221.7 prepupa. Bred prepupa will evolve into several stages: pupa, fly, egg, baby larvae, 5-DOL 57 its life cycle.
